Sustainability is important to us.

The issue of sustainability is of crucial importance to us. We are convinced that the transition to a climate-conscious society can only succeed if we stand shoulder to shoulder with companies.

In recent years, we have started to reorganise some of our processes. We have now summarised our first implemented and future planned steps in a sustainability concept for the first time, which is now being continuously developed.

Sustainability in the office

Desk sharing & home office

Inveos GmbH moved into a new location in January 2022. The company-owned property has 15 workstations and a conference room, which can be booked by employees via a digital room booking system. We rely on the principle of desk sharing in combination with home office operation. The physical workstations are thus utilised more efficiently.

Green mobility

We want to promote sustainable mobility for our employees. We therefore provide financial support for HVV tickets and offer a job bike scheme. Company vehicles have already been converted to e-cars or hybrids. This is supported by the overall reduction in journeys to the office due to the shift of a large proportion of employees' working days to working from home.

Less consumption

The new office concept also means a significant reduction in certain consumer goods or their replacement with sustainable alternatives. The digitalisation of files and mail has reduced our paper consumption to almost zero. We only send and store what is legally necessary in paper form. We have also done away with plastic bottles. We also want to address the issue of sustainability with our suppliers and take it into account when selecting new suppliers.

Intelligent lighting & heating concept

The reduced office space offers good opportunities to save energy. The newly installed motion light control system helps with this. We can now also organise heating more effectively. To this end, we are planning a new heating concept that includes replacing the old gas heating system and a heating control system that is based on the current occupancy of the rooms.

Together with our customers & partners

Integrating sustainability into our products. Increasingly important for our customers as requirements become more demanding. We want to work together to achieve the desired goals as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The coronavirus pandemic has shown that customer meetings and communication between companies can be conducted entirely digitally. In consultation with our customers and partners, we are reducing business trips to what is absolutely necessary.

Actions

We support the local sustainability initiative „My Tree My City“. Instead of printing paper calendars every year at great expense and sending them to our customers, we take part in the Hamburg campaign. Our donation was used to plant a new tree in our neighbourhood. We also only send our Christmas mail digitally.

We will stay tuned!

We know that there is still a lot to do in the area of sustainability and are constantly developing our sustainability strategy. We are also pleased to have a newly certified sustainability manager on board.
